Winning just one game in conference play in 2016, the Pleasantville Trojan volleyball team is looking for better success in the Pride of Iowa conference for 2017.

The Trojans saw more wins headed their way late in the season in their first year under head coach Jen Douma, as they took down 16-17 East Union 2-0 25-19 and 25-23, and then narrowly fell to non-conference foe Clarke in their second to last contest of the season 2-3, falling in the deciding contest 15-10. Pleasantville faces three conference opponents in their first four games, against East Union, Martensdale-St. Mary’s who went 6-19 last season, and Nodaway Valley who went 5-22. Pleasantville starts their season August 24th at home hosting Chariton.
