Here are some Central College results from the Labor Day weekend…

The men’s soccer team pulled holiday duty, and picked up a 7-0 victory over Bethany Lutheran – it’s second shutout to start the season. Addison Shrum had a hat trick for Central.

The Dutch women’s soccer team picked also pitched its second goose egg of the young season, beating Monmouth 3-0. Central’s defense limited the Scots to just one shot on goal.

Sophomore women’s golfer Emily Opsal fired back-to-back rounds of 76 to finish third at the Sail Classic in Cedar Falls. The Dutch were runner-up as a team, with host Luther winning the event by 12 strokes.

Central’s women’s tennis team posted a pair of 9-0 victories Knox and Monmouth to start the season 2-0.

The volleyball team held 1-0 and 2-1 leads over both Wisconsin-Stout and St. Mary’s, but lost both matches in five sets to fall to 0-4 on the year.

The men’s golf team faltered late in the second round at the Culver’s Edgewood Fall Classic in Wisconsin and settled for third place. Sophomore Kobe Rhodes was eighth individually after carding a pair of 75s.
