Both Central College soccer teams moved to 3-0 Wednesday night with shutout victories, meaning that neither Dutch team has yet to allow a goal in 2017.

The Central women were in Grinnell, and came away with a 4-0 win. Freshman goalkeeper Taylor Golt needed to make five saves to preserve the shutout, and four different Dutch players scored a goal.

Central’s men were on the home pitch at the Kuyper Athletic Complex, where they beat Cornell 3-0.

An own goal by the Rams got the Dutch out in front early, and Aroni Niyikiza pounded in the other two Central goals.

The men are now off until next Friday night, but the women will be tested tomorrow with a home match against Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
