In the first home match for new head coach Jeanne Czipri, the Central College volleyball team knocked off Simpson last night at Kuyper Gym. Meanwhile, the women’s soccer team surrendered its first goals of the season and lost its first match.

Melissa Miller hit nearly .500 (8-for-17) to lead the Dutch volleyball team to a 3-1 win over the Storm. They’re now 5-5 on the season, and have another home match tomorrow night against Iowa Wesleyan.

In women’s soccer, Central lost to Mount Mercy 3-2 to fall to 4-1. They’ll try to get back on the winning track Friday and Saturday with matches in Illinois and Missouri.
