19 schools will run at Pine Knolls Country Club golf course for the Knoxville Cross Country Invitational today. Teams from a 50 miles radius of Knoxville including Pella, Pella Christian, Twin Cedars, Melcher-Dallas, East Marshall, Urbandale, and Montezuma will run. Knoxville Coach Michael Splavec tells KNIA/KRLS Sports this meet gives the feel of a state qualifier or even a state meet with so many runners and schools participating. Action is set to get underway at 4:15.
