The Knoxville Girls Cross Country Squad finished fifth at the Oskaloosa Invitational yesterday. Led by Ashley Cumpton with an eighth place finish in a time of 22:15, the Panthers were just 14 points out of the top three. The boys placed seventh…just one point out of the sixth place Albia and 20 points away from fifth place Eddyville-Blakesburg. Jordan Bacon led the Panthers with a 32nd place finish with a time of 20:21. Coach Michael Splavec told KNIA/KRLS Sports, they are defiantly on the rise for both boys and girls at this point in the season. Twin Cedars also competed in the meet. The Sabers did not have a complete team to score points but was led on the boys side by Lane Anderson in 62nd place in a time of 23:09.
