The Knoxville Volleyball Squad has a chance to put their name in the hat as a contender for the South Central Conference title chance tonight as the Panthers take on Albia. It truly is a night and day difference in a year for the Panthers, who last season were just trying to be competitive. Now this season they are looking to contend for the conference. Coach Mollie Keitges tells KNIA/KRLS two players are the main setters this season. Senior Kayla Moats and freshman Marley McKay…who Keitges says has stepped right in a felt very comfortable in the varsity rotation. McKay leads the team with 69 assists this season and Moats is just behind with 68. The same goes for who gets the kills as well. Last year Moats finished with 128 more kills than anyone else on the team…this season Moats is not only on pace to have more…but is actually second on the team currently to Katie Keitges…who has 63 kills to Moats’ 62.
