Mike Marlar took a page out of David Gravel’s playbook in having success at various National events at the Knoxville Raceway, by having a perfect score of 500 last night during night two of completion at the 14th Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals. Marlar set quick time, won his heat and won the A-Main leading the final five laps. With that 500 score, Marlar has secured the pole position for tonight’s championship 100 lap A-Main, Jonathan Davenport will start alongside Marlar on the front row. Tonight one driver will walk away with $40,000 and forever called Late Model Nationals Winner. Hot laps are scheduled to get going at around seven.
