Dan-D Farms will play host to the 7th Annual Nana Jana 5K Fun Run tomorrow.

Each year runners take part in the event to help raise awareness of ovarian cancer. Creator of the run Dan Dennison, who lost his wife to ovarian cancer, tells KNIA/KRLS News it’s heartwarming to see so many people participate in the run over the years. Dennison says if the even can help save just one person so they don’t have to go through the same things he and his wife had to, it would be great thing.

The run begins at 9 a.m. with registration beginning at 8 a.m. at the Dennison farm five miles south of Knoxville on Highway 14. The cost is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio will be at the event playing music and making announcements.
