When the Central College football travelled to Spokane, Washington last fall, the Dutch came away with a 50-49 victory in a game that featured over 1,200 yards of offense.

The Pirates have made their way to the Midwest for today’s rematch, and another wild west shootout is expected.

Both teams still go fast, and the each bring back the majority of their skill players from that contest.

Dutch coach Jeff McMartin says that his players can’t get caught up in the big picture of today’s game – they need to focus on what’s right in front of them.

“I hope that they just stay in the moment and really focus on the now and the play and then re-load to the next play and not get too far ahead of themselves. That’s what we’re going to talk about. That’s the expectation. Have fun with it and enjoy it. You have so few opportunities in your lifetime to be a college football player, enjoy it!”

Gametime is 1:00 this afternoon at Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium in Pella. Trevor Castle, George Wares and Libbie Randall will call the action, beginning with pregame at 12:35 on 92.1 KRLS.
