After pulling away in the first two sets, the Pella Lady Dutch had their hands full in a five-set victory over Indianola (25-15, 25-20, 22-25, 23-25, 17-15) Tuesday.

In all five sets, both teams traded blows and kept the scores tight throughout, until the No. 3 in 4A Lady Dutch cruised ahead in the first two.

However, despite holding late leads, Indianola came storming back in the 3rd and 4th sets. Pella jumped ahead early in the 5th, and despite a few late Indianola rallies, held on to take it. Emily Holterhaus led Pella with 31 kills and Natalie Clayberg racked up 21.

The Lady Dutch are now 12-2 and return to tournament action Saturday at Ballard.
