With only two days of rest after their longest race of the season Saturday in Ames, the Pella High cross country teams were right back at it Tuesday night.

The Lady Dutch finished fourth and the Little Dutch were sixth at the race at Westwood Golf Course in Newton.

Des Moines Roosevelt won the girls race with 41 points, and Pella scored 82, also trailing Little Hawkeye Conference rival Grinnell’s 72. Caroline McMartin and Annika Pingel took fourth and fifth individually.

On the boys side, Dallas Center Grimes was a runaway winner with 33 points. Pella tallied 160. Thomas Gauley took second place in a time of 17:20.

Both teams have a week off before running at Knoxville next Tuesday.
