Pella’s girls cross-country team placed five runners in the top 15 and won the large class division of the Central College Invitational Saturday.

The Lady Dutch scored 52 points, four points ahead of runner-up Ballard. Knoxville was seventh.

Caroline McMartin led Pella with a fifth place finish, while teammate Ashley Blommers was ninth. Knoxville’s Ashley Cumpton took 20th.

In the small school girls race, PCM took fourth, led by Kirstin Ives’ 10th place finish. Pella Christian didn’t have a team score, but Emma Kolb finished fifth.

On the boys side, Pella was sixth and Knoxville took 10th in the large school race. Thomas Gauley took fifth for the Little Dutch, while Jordan Bacon was Knoxville’s top finisher in 43rd.

Pella Christian took second in the small school division, with PCM fifth. Lucas Bandstra took 10th for the Eagles, one of five runners in the top 20. Beau Webb was 12th for the Mustangs.
