The No. 2 in Class 4A Pella volleyball team had little trouble in their homecoming sweep of conference foe Norwalk Tuesday (25-12, 25-12, 25-18).

The Lady Dutch dominated in all phases, hitting .330 as a team and dropping in six aces to take down the Warriors in short order.

Head Coach Catie Brand tells KNIA/KRLS Sports she was proud of the way her team played in front of a homecoming crowd and how they were able to end the match when they needed to.

Pella’s offensive pace was set by the Homecoming Queen and Setter Kara Wichhart, who had 34 assists. Emily Holterhaus crushed Norwalk’s block attempts, racking up 22 kills and only three errors on the night, and Libero Kennady Klein tallied three service aces.

The Lady Dutch are 18-2, 4-0 in the Little Hawkeye Conference, and are off until Tuesday, September 26th when they travel to Newton.
