Pella Superintendent Greg Ebeling was pleased with the outcome of this week’s school elections.
Ebeling tells KNIA/KRLS News voter turnout was higher than normal locally, and double what it typically has been in recent years. Ebeling says renewing the Physical Plant and Equipment Levy for another 10 years was important to keep technology, transportation, and building maintenance up-to-date.
“It’s just a renewal of what we currently have, so it doesn’t create any type of tax increase, and so, I was hoping it was just a pass-through and keep the status quo with what we’re doing,” he says.
He’s also excited to see what new board member Lisa Jansen brings, along with incumbents Joan Corbin and Greg Gustafson, all of whom were elected uncontested Tuesday.
