The Wheels and Wings Memorial Ride to help raise awareness and to honor Clayton Harsin’s memory is scheduled for Saturday, September 23rd.

Harsin was killed on his motorcycle after being hit by a drunk driver in August of 2014. The ride is $20 per vehicle with registration beginning at 8 a.m. the day of the ride and is open to motorcycles and all other street legal vehicles.

Both a live and silent auction will be held at the National Guard armory at the conclusion of the ride with all proceeds from the ride and auction going to local first responders. Commemorative t-shirts will also be available for purchase.

Clayton’s mother Michelle Harsin tells KNIA/KRLS News it would be amazing to her and she knows Clayton would be smiling down if he saw the road filled with all the different motorcycles and vehicles. She says she just wants to make the ride fun and it makes her and her husband Eric feel good to have the event. Michelle says she is excited to present checks to local first responders.

Participants will gather at the Knoxville Hy-Vee parking lot with the ride beginning at 10 a.m. To hear the complete interview with Eric and Michelle Harsin tune in for today’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
