Both the Pella and Pella Christian volleyball teams are back at it tonight for Little Hawkeye Conference action.

The Eagles, who are 5-7 on the season and 1-1 in the LHC, head to Norwalk.

Coach John Evenhouse says that he’s happy with where his team is at this point of the season, but says that there’s always more room for improvement.

“I’m hoping that we’re at about 60-percent of what we’re going to be. But that means we’ve got to really improve, so we’re going to really work on those things in practice quite a bit. We’ve got a lot of skills we can still work on.”

Evenhouse adds that mentally, he thinks his team is about 90-percent of the way there, which he says is good, because that’s tougher to teach.

Meanwhile, the cross-town rival Lady Dutch are 11-2 overall, 2-0 in the conference, and host Indianola tonight to face a fellow league title contender.

Both the Pella Christian at Norwalk and Indianola at Pella varsity matches will start at 7:15 tonight.

EDIT: A previous version of this story mentioned that Pella travelled to Indianola. The Lady Dutch will host the Indians.
