Records for heat were broken throughout the state on the first weekend of autumn, and locally, temperatures tied all-time high marks twice over the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, an observed high on Saturday of 91 tied a record for September 23rd set in 1984. The overnight low Saturday morning of 70 also broke the high mark for the warmest low temperature on that date as well.
