The Wheels and Wings Memorial Ride will be held Saturday.
The ride, which is in its second year, is held to help raise awareness about drunk driving and to honor the memory of Clayton Harsin. Harsin was killed on his motorcycle after being hit by a drunk driver in August of 2014. The ride is $20 per vehicle with registration beginning at 8 a.m. the day of the ride, and is open to motorcycles and all other street legal vehicles. Both a live and silent auction will be held at the National Guard armory at the conclusion of the ride, with all proceeds from the ride and auction going to local first responders. Clayton’s father Eric Harsin tells KNIA/KRLS News there will be live entertainment following the ride and all the entertainment as well as the auctions are open to the public. Harsin invites everyone to come to the event to socialize and have a good time. Harsin says Lucas Beebe and Brandyn Zellmer will both be performing during the event. Commemorative t-shirts will also be available for purchase. Participants will gather at the Knoxville Hy-Vee parking lot with the ride beginning at 10 a.m.
