Central College racked up a school record 693 yards of offense and rolled past Loras College 65-24 Saturday in a game heard live on 92.1 KRLS.

Central scored touchdowns on four one-play drives in the first half, including a 77-yard bomb from Blaine Hawkins to Sam Markham, an 86 yard run by Hawkins, and a 73 yard pitch and catch to Markham.

Markham caught four first half touchdowns, tying a school record for TDs in a half and breaking the record for most touchdown receptions in a game, and he finished the day with five catches for 201 yards. Kyle Gritsch also went over the century mark with four catches for 105 yards and a score.

Blaine Hawkins was 14-of-19 passing for a school record 367 yards and a school record tying five touchdowns. He also ran for 131 yards and two scores. The 498 yards of total offense also shatters Central’s single game mark.

The Dutch are 5-3 on the season and 4-2 in the Iowa Conference. They’ll travel to Decorah next Saturday to take on Luther.
