Central College’s soccer teams each picked up victories over Buena Vista yesterday afternoon at the Kuyper Athletic Complex.

The men started the doubleheader with a 2-1 win over the Beavers. Salvador Villanueva and Miguel Pina scored goals less than three minutes apart midway through the first half, and the Dutch held off a late Buena Vista rally. Kiel Pederson assisted on both goals for Central, who is now 10-4 overall and 2-3 in the Iowa Conference.

Erin Manion scored less than a minute into the game as the Dutch women controlled the game from start-to-finish in a 5-1 win over B-V. Manion scored twice and Kallie Holte had a pair of assists Central, who is now 13-2-1 on the season and 4-1-1 in the IIAC.
