A threat was written on a restroom wall Wednesday at Knoxville High School.

It stated: “everyone is going to die thursday.” The report of the threat came to school administration during the lunch period. Knoxville School’s Superintendent Cassi Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News an investigation is underway in cooperation with the Knoxville Police Department to determine the credibility of the threat. At 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Pearson was informed by the Knoxville Police Department the investigation has not been completed and is ongoing. Law enforcement and school administration do not believe the threat to be credible. The Knoxville School District will have school as normal on Thursday. If parents prefer to keep their child at home they must contact the school prior to 9 a.m. for the absence to count as excused. Additional precautions will be taken.
