The State Swimming Qualifiers are today, and Indianola will be one of six hosts sites around the state. For the Indians, it has been a few Panthers that have led Indianola in the water this season. Knoxville’s Taylor Purvis is trying to get back to the state meet in several events. Her best event statically is the 100 yard backstroke where she has the 26th best time in the state and the fifth best in her state qualifier. Purvis is also vying for the 50 yard freestyle, the 100 freestyle, and the 200 freestyle plus a couple of relay events. Fellow Panthers Wynter Knowler, and Kinsli Cram have also had solid seasons. The Indians will be joined by Atlantic, Dowling Catholic, Fairfield, Grinnell, Lewis Central, Marshalltown, and Perry.
