While the Knoxville Cross Country Season ended a couple of weeks ago, one member of the squad will run one final race this Saturday in the Senior All-Star Meet at DMACC’s course in Ankeny. Ashley Cumpton, who led the Panthers in most races this season, was able to get under the qualifying time of 21:50 to be eligible to run. It is impressive enough to make this field, says her Coach Michael Splavec, but to know that Cumpton only was out for Cross Country for her senior season, shows how good of an athlete she is. The girl’s race is set to get underway at 10:30 this Saturday.
