A week from today residents of Marion County will have the chance to cast their votes for city council and mayoral candidates within their respective cities.
Currently, voting for the general election is open at the Marion County Courthouse but Marion County Auditor Jake Grandia says so far voter turnout is low, which is typical for general elections, with only 78 absentee ballots requested as of Monday morning. Grandia tells KNIA/KRLS News voters have until Friday of this week to request an absentee ballot. Grandia says voters can currently vote at the courthouse from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
