Here’s what happened with the rest of Central’s sports teams on Saturday…

The women’s golf team struggled in rainy conditions Friday and Saturday in Indianola, dropping from first place after the opening two rounds last weekend to a second place finish 28 strokes behind Wartburg. Brittany Coppess finished second individually.

Women’s soccer was led by its seniors on Senior Day, picking up a 5-0 win over Cornell. Senior Kallie Holte scored twice, senior Felicia Roppe notched a pair of assists, and senior Sadie Jones pitched a shutout in her first career start in net.

Central’s men’s soccer team gave up an early goal and played from behind the entire match in a 2-1 non-conference loss to Wisconsin-Platteville.

The volleyball team lost 3-0 to Coe on Friday, then dropped a pair of straight set matches to Thomas More and Washington University on Saturday in St. Louis.

The women’s tennis team lost to Luther 9-0, but beat Wartburg 5-2 to secure a third place finish in the Iowa Conference regular season standings at 7-2.
