The Pella Area Community and Economic Alliance and KNIA/KRLS will host a Pella City Council candidate forum ahead of the upcoming election.

PACE Alliance Executive Director Karen Eischen says those on the November ballot will answer questions this evening from 6:30-8 pm at the Graham Annex at Central College. The six candidates running for election to the city council have been invited to participate. All PACE Alliance members and the public are invited to attend to hear each candidate’s position or views on issues related to economic development, community growth, and the business environment of Pella.

Each candidate will speak to questions submitted by PACE Alliance, as well as questions from those in attendance. Candidates seeking election on November 7th include two contested races:

At-Large Seat: Mark De Jong (incumbent), Rhonda Kermode, Dan Spotten
Ward 1 Seat: Lynn Hinga Branderhorst, Dan Vander Beek (incumbent)
Ward 3 Seat: Bruce Schiebout (incumbent).

This event is free to attend, however RSVP’s are required by calling the PACE Alliance office at 641-628-2626 or online at https://goo.gl/vNG3aB.

The PACE Alliance Candidate forum can be heard live tonight on 92.1 KRLS, kniakrls.com, and the free KRLS mobile app.
