After winning last week’s game against Pleasantville that was billed as a district championship game, Pella Christian’s football team can officially clinch the class 1-A district five title tonight with a senior night victory over Central Decatur.

Eagles Coach Rich Kacmarynski says that this group of seniors hung back in the shadows last year behind a heralded class, but they’ve burst out this year and made a name for themselves.

“I’m just super proud of them. The leadership they’ve displayed and the year that we’ve had have been super enjoyable. Honestly, I’m not ready for it to end, so we’re going to honor the seniors tonight, but this is just another stop on the road. We have a great vision for the future, but I can’t say enough about this year’s senior class – just very, very good.”

A win tonight would ensure at least one more game on Eagle Lane in the playoffs. Trevor Castle and Larry Hessing will call the action between Pella Christian and Central Decatur live on our KRLS2 stream at Pregame starts at 6:30 with kickoff set for 7:00.
