Pella Christian and Pekin go head-to-head tonight in the class 2A volleyball regional semifinals.

Pekin knocked off Sigourney 3-0 on Tuesday night in the quarterfinals, while the Eagles went on the road to beat Van Meter 3-1.

Pella Christian coach John Evenhouse isn’t overlooking the Panthers, but says that he feels his team has a great chance to advance to the regional final.

“I scouted them, and they’re probably not as tough as Van Meter I didn’t think. It should be an opponent that we can play well with.”

Tonight’s match will take place at Pella High School, with first serve set for 7:00.

The winner advance to next Tuesday’s regional final against either Grundy Center or BCLUW.
