No. 5 Pella is looking to lock themselves into a first round home playoff game as they hit the road against North Polk seeking their 5th straight district championship.

The 6-1 Little Dutch have won 30 consecutive district games dating back to 2013, and will aim to extend that streak further against a struggling Comets group that sits at 1-4 in Class 3A District 6.

Head Coach Jay McKinstrey says the Dutch D will have to key in on Senior Running Back Mason Russell, who has over 1100 yards rushing and scored two-thirds of the Comets’ total points this year.

Offensively, Pella will look to continue cleaning up turnovers and penalties, as despite 12 takeaways this season, the Little Dutch have turned the ball over 10 ten times.

Pella travels to Alleman for the district matchup with North Polk. Pregame begins at 7 p.m. and kickoff is at 7:30 on 92.1 KRLS, with Andrew Schneider and Randy Sikkema calling the action.
