The Pella High volleyball team heads to Dallas Center-Grimes tonight with the Little Hawkeye Conference regular season championship on the line.

The Lady Dutch are 6-0, while the Fillies are tied with Indianola for second place at 5-1. A Pella win would give the Lady Dutch a second consecutive undefeated championship, while a DCG win would create a three-way tie for first.

Pella coach Catie Brand says it’s one of their goals to go back-to-back in the LHC.

“We’d like to repeat from last year’s first place finish in the regular season. We like that we’ve now put it in our own destiny and in our own hands. If we take care of business against DCG, we’ll have that first spot to ourselves. That’s definitely a focus of this team, it’s one of their goals, and we’re this close to achieving it.”

Pella Christian has the night off tonight, and finished Little Hawkeye Conference action at 4-3. They’ll finish in fourth place regardless of tonight’s outcomes.
