Pella hosts Bondurant-Farrar tonight in the class 4A region 4 volleyball final, with the winner advancing to the state tournament.
Each team won its semifinal match in a clean sweep, with the eighth-ranked Lady Dutch beating Oskaloosa and the Blue Jays knocking out Carlisle.
Bondurant-Farrar is 21-12 on the season, while Pella is 32-6, but one of those losses was to the Blue Jays in late August.
Lady Dutch coach Catie Brand says that her girls are excited at a chance to avenge that loss and get back to state.
“We definitely feel that we need to execute a game plan better, and having seen them and having film on them, I know that we’ll be able to do that well. We’re also not playing at 8:00 in the morning. 7:00 in our gym, I feel like that’s going to be a world of difference from the first time we played them in August.”
First serve will be tonight at 7:00 at Pella High School.
