The Pleasantville Meet the Candidates Night was held Monday at Webb Shadle Memorial Library and was presented by the Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce.

The event gave residents of Pleasantville a chance to meet the three candidates running for City Council. Director of the Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce, Dan Dursky introduced the three candidates Clinton Wallace, Jordan Van Ness and A.J. Potter. The candidates took questions from the audience on a number of topics including infrastructure, public safety, and development of the city. With only two spots available for the three candidates running they shared with the audience their individual reason for running, with all wanting to make Pleasantville a better place to raise a family. They also gave their thoughts on how to get more families to move to Pleasantville. Mayor Bill Moore, who is running uncontested for reelection was unable to attend the event.
