Three goals in a 13-minute span in the second half helped the Central College women’s soccer team overcome a halftime deficit in a 3-1 victory over Beloit College Sunday.

The Dutch were unable to score in the first half and trailed 1-0 after Beloit found the back of the net in the 23rd minute. A change of direction and a conversation at the break turned the tides.

It only took five minutes into the second half for Central to light up the scoreboard when midfielder Lauren Vahlkamp beat the keeper from close range. Keeping the pressure up, she added a second goal 77 seconds later, and Elise Askelsen finished the scoring.

With the win, Central is now 11-2 overall on the season.
