After losing point guard Brady Elder to graduation, the Pleasantville Trojan boys basketball team will bring a new style to their play this season and it will be less focused on a single player than it was around the standout Elder.

Gauge Van Haalen is the leading scorer returning for the squad, but the team plans to be as balanced as possible to give them the most options going forward. The position of “point guard” won’t be a set mechanic in terms of the Trojan offense, rather it will be a group of guards all capable of bringing the ball up and setting the offense. Head Coach Joel Allman told KNIA/KRLS Sports, it will be position by committee. The Trojans will get their season started hosting the Saints of Melcher-Dallas on Tuesday in a game that can be heard live on our KNIA3 stream on KNIAKRLS.com.
