Katy-Did’s General Store in Bussey has recently started making changes.

Owner of the store, Candy Evans tells KNIA/KRLS News she wanted to clear out the inventory that has been sitting on the shelves for awhile while making room for more merchandise that people are consigning as well as making room for potential vendors. Evans say the change is a work in progress but she says she already has two new vendors lined up and is looking for more. She says having local vendors be able to contribute to the store is her way of paying it forward to the community that helped her keep her store. With today being small business Saturday, Evans wants everyone to know they can possibly find things local and not have to go too far to shop for Christmas. Katy-Did’s store hours have also changed with the store being open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Sunday.
