Only one team has beaten Pella in football over the past four seasons. That team, Dallas Center-Grimes, is the only team standing between the Little Dutch and their fourth straight trip to the UNI-Dome.

The Mustangs ended Pella’s 42-game winning streak with a 10-7 victory in week two, and both teams have run the table since then.

Fourth-ranked Dallas Center-Grimes is 10-0, coming off a 41-22 win over Carlisle last week in the first round of the playoffs, while the fifth-ranked Little Dutch are 9-1 after winning their state championship rematch with Webster City, 27-7.

Pella coach Jay McKinstrey says that his kids are looking forward to another matchup with the Mustangs tonight.

“Our kids haven’t even talked about revenge, because if you do that, you’re not going to play well. It’s maybe a little bit more about redemption from the way that we played. I don’t know if we’re going to win or lose tonight, but I think our guys want to play a little bit better. Our defense played well the last time, but I think offensively we have a lot of new things that we’re doing. The guys want to go out and play a better game and see what happens.”

Tickets for tonight’s game at Dallas Center-Grimes are available today at Pella High School from 8:00-3:30, and cost six dollars each.

Kickoff is set for 7:00, and Trevor Castle and Randy Sikkema will be calling the action live on 92.1 KRLS. Pregame starts at 6:30.
