The Marion County Historical Village Festival of Trees begins tomorrow.
From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday attendees will have a chance to visit the historical village and view over 40 trees on display. Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite tree by placing a donation in the container next to the tree of their choice. President of the Marion County Historical Society Marla Suter tells KNIA/KRLS News this year all the trees will be inside so people can warm up. Suter says two of the buildings are heated and the ones that are not heated will have fires going in the fireplaces. The festival will include live entertainment and demonstrations, a refreshment table as well as popcorn being served from the popcorn wagon, bake sales and silent auctions. Proceeds of the festival will be donated to IMPACT Community Action Partnership. Admission to the festival is free; for more information contact the Marion County Historical Society.
