The Marion County Historical Village Festival of Trees will be held this weekend.

The festival will begin on Saturday and run through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day. President of the Marion County Historical Society Marla Suter tells KNIA/KRLS News there will be live entertainment and demonstrations, a refreshment table as well as popcorn being served from the popcorn wagon. Suter says the event is a chance for Marion County residents to get together, see the trees, see the village and what Marion County Historical Village has to offer. The festival will also feature bake sales, silent auctions, a favorite tree contest and tours of historic buildings. Attendees will be able to vote for their favorite tree by placing a donation in the container next to the tree of their choice. Proceeds of the festival will be donated to IMPACT Community Action Partnership. Admission to the festival is free, for more information contact the Marion County Historical Society.
