The Melcher-Dallas Boys Basketball Squad may have more depth and is poised to have one of its best seasons in several years. Coach Jim Wells has 22 players this season and a wealth of experience back, plus a group of freshmen and sophomores that have some talent. Wells says that creates a lot of competition in practice, something that has not happened in a few years at Melcher-Dallas. Returning this season for the Saints will be Blaise Cooper, who was the team’s leading scorer a year ago, along with Paul Karpan and Ethan Harrington. The Saints get their season tipped off against Pleasantville on November 28th.
