Regan Freland started off her 2017-18 campaign with a 21 point performance as the PCM Mustang girls basketball team took down Newton 55-48.

PCM was debuting a large class of new players after a large senior class graduated, and Lilli Baird scored seven points in her varsity debut. Cameron Wignall also scored seven points. Head Coach Jeff Linsday told KNIA/KRLS Sports, that he thinks the team improved a ton over the course of the week leading up to the game. The Mustangs are now 1-0 on the season, and will take on area rival Knoxville on Tuesday.
