After the graduation of one of the top players in program history in Brady Elder, the Pleasantville Trojan boys basketball team will look to replace the scoring of the point guard coming up in 2017-18.

Elder scored 19.8 points in his senior campaign as the Trojans went 13-8, but Pleasantville had a chance to see what life would be like without their star when Elder was out with an appendectomy midway through the season. The Trojans played well, including a win over Central Decatur, and saw balanced scoring. The Trojans return their top four scorers after Elder, with Gauge Van Haalen averaging 10.9 while shooting 37.6% from long range. Pleasantville will also look to have an advantage in the post, as they return top rebounders Kyle Amendt, Devon Dursky, and Brandt Wilkins. Pleasantville will start their season off with a scrimmage against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on November 21st.
