This past September Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) and Marion County Public Health partnered together to bring English as a Second Language classes to Knoxville.

On December 7th those classes will be coming to an end but the Academic Advisor for DMACC, Andrea Gotta tells KNIA/KRLS News the partnership with Marion County Public Health will continue as another set of ESL Classes will begin on January 16th. She says anyone who wishes to take part in the classes needs to attend that day so they can take a quick reading and listening assessment to help determine where they should be placed. Gotta says to sign up for the classes any interested can just show up to Marion County Public Health on January 16th or call her office.
