Central College football punter Tyler Bryant and linebacker Tyler Olson were lauded by the Iowa Conference for their performances in a 23-21 win over Luther College Saturday.

Bryant picked up his first Special Teams Player of the Week honor after he averaged 53.7 yards per punt in the win over the Norse. He launched two of his three punts over 50 yards, including a game-high 65-yard attempt. Two of his attempts also pinned the Norse inside their own 20-yard line.

For the second time this season, Olson was the league’s Defensive Player of the Week. He racked up 20 tackles, including six solo stops. Nine of those tackles came in the fourth quarter. The inside linebacker also had 1.5 tackles-for-loss.

The end of the season for the Dutch is this Saturday as they host the University of Dubuque at 1 p.m. from Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium.
