The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in special closed session Wednesday.

Following the closed session, the board approved a process for the disposal of the current Marion County Care Facility in rural Knoxville. The board agreed to have the property sold as one parcel, which will include the facility as well as adjacent farmland and buildings. They instructed the County Attorney’s office to draft a resolution to detail the disposition of the property and for the resolution to be published on December 21st, and the board will review and consider during their regular meeting on December 26th.
