Central’s basketball teams each beat Dubuque Saturday in a doubleheader inside of Kuyper Gym.

In the women’s game, senior forward Jackie Kriegel tied a school record with 22 rebounds in a 73-55 victory. She also added eight points and two assists.

The Dutch had been on a two-game losing streak but bounced back to improve their record to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in Iowa Conference play.

Emily Dine had 19 points, including 5-of-11 from beyond the arc and four assists, and Kendall Brown had 14 points, six rebounds and two blocked shots.

Jamel McKnight and Andre Johnson had career nights, scoring 24 points and 17, respectively, in a 96-89 win for the Dutch men.

Central improved its record to 2-4 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
