Two of the top performing wrestlers this season for the Pleasantville Trojan wrestling team has been senior grappler Chaz Clark, and freshman Matthew Kauffman. The problem for the Trojans this season, those two both mainly wrestle at the same weight, 220lbs, which forces some switching around for the this rostered Trojans.

The Trojans currently don’t have wrestlers at 106, 113, and 120, 152, or 160lbs, which leaves them at a disadvantage already in meets, and having two of their most talented wrestlers in the same class forces one of them to wrestle up at 285lbs. Clark came into the season as the reigning state runner-up at 220lbs, and was ranked #1 entering his senior campaign, while the Trojans also want to give Kauffman some time on the mats at his natural weight to plan for the future. The Trojans will have some more time to plan out the second half of the season, as they won’t hit the mats again until January 6th when they head to area rival PCM High School for a meet.
