National Wrestling Hall of Fame Distinguished Member Dan Gable made two stops in Marion County Tuesday.

The Olympic gold medalist wrestler and 15-time NCAA championship coach made stops in both Knoxville and Pella as part of his partnership with Casey’s General Store for a statewide book signing tour. Gable tells KNIA/KRLS News when he stopped in Knoxville, he wants to thank everyone and help to promote wrestling. Gable says he should have brought more books because Knoxville was superb and he couldn’t wait to visit Pella as well. For $20 people were able to receive a signed copy of Gable’s book A Wrestling Life 2 as well as a photograph with the legendary wrestler.

Pella Police Chief Robert Bokinsky, a former wrestler himself, meets the legendary Dan Gable.
