The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad is in good position in the South Central Conference. Standing at 5-1 after the first tour through, the Panthers also have the schedule makers in their favor as well. Knoxville played everyone except Davis County on the road the first time through the conference. When January hits, the Panthers will get everyone with the exception of Davis County at home for the remainder of the season. That means league leader Eddyville-Blakesburg, and always dangerous Chariton will be in town as well. Coach Jeff Larson tells KNIA/KRLS his team is in a favorable position for the stretch run. Eddyville-Blakesburg comes to Knoxville on January 23rd, three days after Chariton visits on Coaches vs. Cancer night January 20th. The Panthers begin the second trip through the South Central Conference at home January fifth against Albia.
