The Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad started sluggish but ended with a flurry including a 28-7 to end the first half to erase any doubt in their 67-36 win over Oskaloosa on Saturday, while the Panthers boys shooting woes did in what was a competitive first half in an 85-62 loss to the Indians. The girls outscored Oskaloosa 31-13 in the second quarter to lead 43-17 at the half. Katie Keitges scored a career high 30 points while Maggie Wilkins had 12. The Panthers also forced 30 Oskaloosa turnovers. The Oskaloosa boys turned a rather entertaining first half into a runaway. Knoxville trailed 41-35 at the half with both teams shooting well from the outside. However, the Panthers shooting touch left them in the second half while the Indians kept shooting it well. Ben Wallace led the Panthers with 18 points and Patrick Crawford had 14. The girls are now 3-0 while the boys and 1-1. Both teams head to Clarke on Tuesday.
